About Women’s Perfume

The word perfume comes from the Latin word perfumare, which means “to smoke through.” The craft of making perfumes began in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt and was later refined by the Romans and Persians. Perfume also existed in India since 3000 BC and in 2003 what is believed to be the oldest surviving perfumes were found in Pyrgos, Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. These perfumes date back 4000 years.

Chemists from ancient Mesopotamia and Persia have written books on ancient techniques and recipes for countless perfumes for millennia.

Up until the 18th century perfume was rare and only for the rich. Perfume has come a long way, from only a handful of types in the 18th and 19th centuries to thousands of brands and types today. Luckily for you, Fragrance Circle has pretty much all of them.

Fragrance Circle is proud to be at the forefront of making luxury perfume and premium perfume more accessible for everyone. Being able to provide you with the best customer service and top quality brands at an affordable price is what we strive for.
